My brother has a 2010 fat boy and his seat sucks to sit on for more than a few minutes. I'm sure there are some quality seats out there and some that just aren't worth the shipping. I am looking for advise on what seats are top of the line for comfort and what seats are a good bang for the buck. Thanks in advance for any and all advise.
It's been my experience that no 2 people are exactly the same when it comes to comfort requirements. I've had a Corbin Gunfighter on my Springer for many years and its been very comfy riding for this 66 year old butt of mine. The more I ride, the more comfy it got/gets.
It sounds like it's a crap shoot, to each his own, your *** isn't my ***, and so on. Thanks for the in-put. I was kind of hoping for a more uniform answer.
I'm at wits end with this too. I ride solo 90% of the time, my new bike has the candy apple hot rod paint job and I'd like showing off the top of the rear fender. My last bike had the Mustang super solo, 3 hours and my *** felt like a toothache. I have since tried Corbin, HD and now Saddleman solos, none of them are as comfortable as the seat that came on it, good for about 4 hours then I need to put on the Air Hawk pillow. The only seat I can ride in all day is one I bought for when I ride two up, a used HD seat off a Ultra I got off eBay. I'm seriously considering buying another and getting the passenger part trimmed down (looks hideous without the tour pack).

C&C with gel insert. One can ride many miles with this seat on a Softail. Good back support as well. Mine is leather, not a cheap date.
Your economy seats are Mustang brand. Vinyl only, however. I thought my Mustang was comfortable, but hated the vinyl. It sweats too much. YMMV.
