Rob, a few years back my friend JC Hartsfield was killed riding his Harley. He was the brother I never had. I miss him to this day and most likely will for a long time. There are guys that come into your life that you simply click with. He was uncle JC to my kids and always welcome at family gatherings. Don't think anyone like him is likely to come into my life again. His death didn't stop me from riding but things that happen when I ride remind me of him and I smile. It feels good !!

I didn't read all of the responses so forgive me if this has been said... Get back on the bike when you're ready to. Don't rush it. Park the bike for a few days or a week. The urge will come back on its own and if it doesn't then leave the bike parked until it does or you're ready to sell it.
Riding can be great therapy but it can get you killed if your head is somewhere else.
