We lost a friend just last Thursday. He was riding through NE Arkansas, taken out by a left-turner.
I have three bikes in the garage. If anything like that happens to me, two of them are going to outlast me. They are unsuitable and impractical to use as paper weights.
sorry for your loss..... others have said it better than I... i understand the questions you have about riding again....but give it a little time... if you enjoyed the ride before.. you may again after things settle a bit... maybe just go to the bike and sit on it for a while...it helps remember.... and riding may help remember Mike and the good times you shared....take your time... you decide.......just saw the sticker...WONDERFUL!!

I had a similar accident in April, thankfully Im typing... I bought a new bike and continued riding.. Due to some injuries I only put on about 200 miles this season but I did get back on.. Youre gonna be paranoid for a while, its normal..
Nothing really better add, but wanted to send condolences. Reading threads like this bring things into perspective. I appreciate that people share.
I agree with grief not really going away, but it does get easier to deal with. At least it has for me in similar circumstances.
Your tribute to him is an awesome and beautiful idea.
i got the stickers made on ebay. just looked up memorial stickers and there are a bunch to choose from. I am glad to say myself and my father went for a ride the other day. It felt good to get back in the sun. still miss mike but he wouldn't of wanted me to end my riding on his account. Thanks again everyone for the kind words and condolences. Rob
