Kuryakyn makes a tourpak relocation kit that slides back n forth, I have one on my bike because my wife and I are heavy. It is very well built and I am happy I put it on.
Notice you are in Kinston. The nice thing about the relocation kit is the amount of space it gives or slide it forward, I think like 4 or 6 inches. It is worth the money... I also want to wish you and your wife success on the weight loss.

Default Our weights

Thank you for those who have posted. For the record I went from 408lbs and size 60 pants and jacket , to 196lbs and 34 pants with a 2x shirt. In 11 months. I got a total hip replacement 8 weeks ago. So for thosecounting we total only 550 or so lbs on bike for us both with maybe 50lbs in gear for a max of 600lbs or so for everything. I had seen the tour pack relocation kits and that will be my first stop. The bike has air ride so suspension isnt a concern. I need to also lower the floorboards for her but I think I have seen a thread on this subject already. Thanks to all and any additional information is greatly appreciated.
Oh and we adding a small trailer in spring to better equip us for longer road trips to Washington DC and the Florida Keys next summer. Mark
Yeah, thats me in all the photos.
All the cars are Studebakers. Yellow is 53 Commander, 232 V8, 4speed. Black is 64 GT Hawk with a 259, auto, 4V, and factory AC and 57,000 original miles and only 5000 on total restoration. Pink is 63 GT Hawk with a 289 V8, factory Paxton Supercharger, auto, and about 425 ponies on tap to pass......Thanks to all

I did not read every response....

In all seriousness:

a) Sissy bar
b) Air shocks

Additionally....

c) Foot peg/ floor board height and angle....that's specific to you and your passenger.
d) A wide passenger seat plus a long seat may also be of comfort value...again too specific to your bodies.

e) You may even consider addition front fork compression dampening during heavy braking....just out of the box thinking concerning vehicle handling.

Good luck and have fun.

I'm sorry that I can't give you any personal solution to this problem as I have a strict limit of 120# for any of the ladies that request a ride. One time I tried to accommodate a lovely girl that was about 130# but it didn't work out and I just rode off while she was paying for gas. Oh, well.

Anyway back to your question: I think that you are currently limited to 1. custom sidecar that will be constructed to her dimensions, or 2. a utility trailer that she would sit in while you tow her around. The trailer option is probably illegal in all 50 States, but you could check.

Honestly I'm surprised that she doesn't fit. I believe that HD has an entire section in their engineering department devoted to designing bikes around riders/passengers in the 800# range. Maybe a call to customer service might be in order.

As a last resort, maybe just sell the Harley and buy a very large two person Kayak.
That's great!!!

Set air shocks to 50psi, make sure max air in tires. Loosen up your tour pak bolts and slide it back as far as it will go, and just ride.

Congratulations on your weight loss and I hope your gal does fine. Aside from all the advice regarding your dilemma regarding the scooter ... Have you given any thought about changing your e-mail address?

With your physical condition I would be more concerned with just holding the bike up with her onboard. That is a problem a good friend of mine has and they just went with a Trike.

Good luck to both of you.
