I have a 2008 streetglide with a bent handlebars. putting the throttle by wire grip (?) back in, I noticed a black wire wrap coming from the center of the grip. I can't find anywhere to hook it back up to. is this wire thing really needed? thanks, bob byrne ugvnv_ec_nc@yahoo.com

 

No that's is one of those things they recommend you just throw away. There are 89 other parts not needed also.

most likly the heated grip wire.

no its not needed unless you want heated grips.
