It does come with the mounting hardware which I exchanged for all stainless steel and nylock nuts. I did a lot of research on this and couldn't find as many options as I thought there would be. Harley doesn't have any options available currently for a simple lay down plate unless it is touring. You do have to have a certain size LP which I don't know if all states are the same size or not? You should have seen my temp plate when I bought the bike. It was crazy big!
I'm thinking I won't have an issue with the blinkers - even if I choose to go to hard bags they shouldn't be an issue. I also checked to see if my luggage rack would conceal the visibility, and it doesn't seem to be a problem. My license plate here in the great state of Texas is 7.5" long and 4.5" high.

All looks good as long as your license plate is 4" X 7" which is what it is here in the shitty state of NJ (It's OK, we have Pennsylvania to visit which is awesome)? The Kuryakyn that I purchased is only good for 4" X 7" since it encapsulates the entire plate with a trim. I looked it up online and the below attached link shows Texas at 4" X 7"? Only difference appears to be the through holes which are slightly larger (I think everything in Texas is slightly larger if Hollywood uses facts in their pictures) by 1/32".

It probably is... Those were the OD measurements with the plate holder.

Do you guys have that dumb registration plate that you have to put below your tag? I'm thinking I'll have to bend that thing or relocate it.

Oh, and is there a nut? How did you get under the fender?

In NJ we do not have a registration plate? We used to have a spot for inspection sticker years ago, but that went away a long time ago. As for getting under the fender to attach the 3 nuts, I am able to reach up from the back to them as well as get the 7/16" wrench in to tighten them. Not sure what you will be faced with? I can PM a picture to you later this evening with it apart showing the trim plate removed if you want? The pic attached show the back of the plate holder. The added aluminum parts still need to be rounded and black powder coated if I ever get to it.

If you just want to lay it back, but keep your trim plate Harley does make some options for it as apposed to the Kuryakyn which you will have to use the trim plate provided since it is cast and has a curved profile to it. Sorry, have had lots of computer time today at work.

Yeah, I had seen that yesterday, but it doesn't show my bike on the fitment tab.

I cut down the already-short-end of an Allen wrench to tighten the gimungus acorn nuts onto button-head bolts behind the frame/license/bracket assembly. A towel, between the fender and license assembly, helped prevent scratches in my fender while my buzzed-*** self worked the hardware.
Polished, stainless steel acorn nuts, washers, lock-washers and a dab of purple thread lock (low strength). Tin-snips, made the license plate slightly smaller, to accommodate the cheap license frame. I had to modify/booger the original license holes to make it fit the cheap frame, too. The square corners of the license frame, hide my sins. The radius of the plate, isn't harsh, and the cheap frame has held up for ten years, almost to the day, without chrome peel or cracking.
Make it up, as you go along. I knew what I wanted, but wasn't sure how to get there. I noticed the telephone pole diameter, while tilting my head back to finish off a can of beer. Inspiration, is where you find it.

Do a google search for Harley Davidson part number 60280-07. This bracket looks much better and should fit all top mount 3 bolt fenders

This one will fit your bike and it's probably a hundred bucks cheaper than those other gourmet models.
