There are important character traits to look for in a riding buddy, and some practical consideration too. Likewise, you should also do your best to be these things for anyone you ride with.
1. Has gas money.
2. Likes to buy a new bike often (so you can buy his old one).
3. Likes to pick up the lunch tab.
4. Has more tools than you.
5. Never runs out of beer.

Just for my own curiosity... If some of you guys don't like CCEs threads, why in the Hell do you keep opening them and reading them? There's a pizza joint in my town that opened about 8 or 9 years ago. Right after they opened I stopped in to buy a pizza. It was awful. I think it may be the worst pizza I ever ate, soggy crust, the sauce was basically ketchup with some spices in it and it just looked a mess. So I never bought another pizza from them. But you know what else? I don't stop in their store every day to remind them how much I hated their pizza.
