I noticed after I brought my bike home at the end of March that the HD decal on one side of my fuel tank had a small bubble in iton theupper edge.
I called them the next day after my purchase about itand they said that next time I was down in that area to bringthe bikeby and they would look at it.
I don't get down there very often, but took the bike in this past weekend to get the safety recall done with the battery cable and showedmy salesman the bubble that I had called him about previously. He showed it to the Service Dept. Mgr. who in turn showed it to the Dealership Manager.
They all agreed that the fuel tank should be warrantied and replaced with a new one free of charge. I didn't have to argue with them or anything. They just volunteered it. Apparentlywhen the tank was clear coated, someonemisseda very smallpart of the tank and that part of the decal.
I had assumed they would try to just tack it down.
I was very pleased with their integrity. I thought it was down right respectable.
You should probably post this in the good dealer thread so others will catch it! We're all trying to find the few good dealers left! Good on them for taking care of it for ya! Not the normal thing anymore..........not like it used to be 40 years ago!
