I'm thinking about a new Fatbob, and I'm wondering if the 114 is worth the extra $$. The out the door difference between 107 with ABS and a 114 is about $925 or so. That's not a huge difference given the total price, but cash is cash. I've ridden a 114 Fatbob and a 107 Slim, and I didn't notice a huge difference. Thoughts?
brotha no substitution for cubic inches, lol 114 WITHOUT A DOUBT, if you don't feel a difference, tell you what, what till you put pipes, intake, tuner, and most defiantly down the road, not sure how longer how much experience you have w/harleys, but when you Cam, that 114" the Dyno on your *** will feel it, 100 PERCENT!!!....I Have a bored out 107 kit, full 9, ride my buddy breakout, he has a 117....no contest!!!!! and its only like 30tq more or so... but when you get into double digit cubes, sky's the limit bro!
I went from the 107 to 114 on my RKS. I noticed a pretty big difference. Big enough to justify $925 in my opinion.
thats a sweet ride there, im looking a that exact combo myself currently, everyone needs a second bike! what do you do when your modding the other,LOL...
I did some talking and pricing because I was wanting a Monotail slim with a 114, but to get that I would have to get the 114 crank shaft put into a 107, and for the dealership to do it we would be looking at an extra 8 to 10,000.00 on top of the price of the new monotail slim. Then after adding enough cosmetics to make me really love it, I decided to keep my Rusty Trusty old Road King., cause it still makes me happy just to see it in my garage.

Nice of you to say so...thank you. Yes, I absolutely LOVE the bike. Hydraulic clutch has taken some getting used to, but overall very happy with it. And you are exactly right...always need a steed at the ready.
