I'll be going and it will actually be my first time riding this long of a distance.
I'm in Los Angeles so it's about a 280 mile ride. I already have an idea of the different spots I will be taking a break at. So hopefully it's not too bad.
Hopefully there will be quite a few other riders so I won't feel so alone out there.

From LA? Gas up and take a leak in Baker and then stop at Stateline for a beer and a leak then on to greasy old downtown Vegas.
Still can't decide. Most of the crew is dropping out. My wife is out, as well. We're probably not going to get our money back, so I'm thinking I'll do a solo ride out Saturday AM. Stop by the site on my way in and have a moment of silence for the fallen. Check out Bikefest Sat afternoon, and roll out Sunday AM. We'll see, probably be a "game time decision.
Thanks for all your input...
Sounds like most of your crew is choosing to live in fear, that's too bad. But it's their choice, I don't judge. Personally If I were closer and could make it I would go just to show my support and show any future wack-jobs that some people REFUSE to live in fear, and will NOT be intimidated, but that's just me.
