That really sucks but you're lucky to be in the condition you're in, one of your nine lives used up I guess. Same thing nearly happened to me last week when an older gent on his cell phone pulled into my path....luckily there was no oncoming traffic and he eventually did see me in time to stop and forced me to turn my bagger into a curve-hugging racer as I sharply pulled left into the opposite lane to avoid impact.
Aux lighting kit is being added to my SG this weekend in an attempt to make myself a little more visible. Good luck on your new bike purchase....assuming you're not letting this get you off a bike for good.

As everyone else said, glad you're ok.One thing I've learned iswhenever I'm in a situation where a cage is waiting to turn into my path, I always flash my brights three or four times. Might wear out a switch, but it's probablysaved my *** more than a few times.
Hope the driver that did that to you got a hefty ticket and also hope she has good insurance.
