HD is supposed to have a "common fit" across their whole line of clothes, so that if you wear a XL, no matter who subcontracts to make their crap, they use the same size mannequin.

only thing to do is put them on CL, and hold out to get your money back.

i hate skinny ppl!!!

No offense, maybe you've put on a bit of weight? Or maybe as you've aged as I have, and still weigh the same but it seems everything is "heading south" to the belt line?

A good leather jacket should be "fitted" it shouldn't be so loose that if you go down it will move around on you, ride up your arms, or shift the "armor" around if it has any.

As others have mentioned I find that different manufacturers "sizes" are so different. As an example I bought a Roland Sands Ronin Jacket, I had to move up to an XXL for a good comfortable fit. I find Harley gear to be all over the place. I have to actually try it on. I've found XL to be too snug in some cases and in others too big.

What I do when I sell a jacket online is to give the prospective buyer my dimensions and tell them how the jacket fits on me. I've probably sold over half-a-dozen leather jackets and 3 road-racing suits (when I roadraced) without anyone ever complaining that they didn't fit.

So maybe ask the seller about their dimensions and how the jacket fit them...

Is it a pure coincidence that you bought 2 large jackets and they are both too small?

I think not.

Just for laughs, what is your waist size and chest size?

Large (or any size for that matter) is meaningless. All it really means is that is is bigger than that same jacket in Medium, and smaller than that same jacket in XL.

That is the problem with buying clothing online. You don't know how something will fit until you try it on. That's why many sellers of new items have size guidelines on their websites.

Need some pictures of those jackets. How big are you? I wear large and xlarge all depends on the brand.

I wear Vanson's and it took quite some time to figure out their sizing. I wear a 42 in a sport coat/suit jacket. In a Vanson I wear a 48 and could possible get away with a 50. I'm 5'10" and a slender 34" waist 165 lbs. A 48 in a sport coat would fit me like a poncho but mc jackets are cut entirely different. The best advice is to get sized and relay those to the seller and have them measure their jacket.

I cannot wear cheap imported rat skin pleather jackets made by the Taliban's children.

No doubt for what you paid for two jackets plus shipping you could have gotten a tailor made one from FCL. Guaranteed to fit.

i've always found motorcycle jackets to run on the small side. i always buy big enough to wear a hooded sweat shirt under it. that way it's big when just wearing a t-shirt or long underwear, which is fine. also allows room for when i got older (fatter).

Loose fitting jackets will burn off of you in a wreck especially if you roll. Jacket should be snug in order to withstand the slide or tumble and hold you together. Check the fit of race bike riders and that's how they wear their stuff. I realize it's a different style of riding but the falls can be the same. Cheap thread at the seams like the Taliban leather shops use will shred like spaghetti and there goes what little protection you had. That's how it's been explained to me anyways.
