Everyone share their best (worst) moments about when you stalled your engine... I'll start; was making a left turn from a busy street onto a side street. Halfway through my turn, I stalled the engine and started to fall to the left but caught myself just in time. Luckily, a nice person in an oncoming minivan took pity on me and stopped, waving me through so I could finish my turn.
Worste stall story I had was at a rest stop in communist NY, Dude walks to stall next to mine snd starts asking questions about my watch.
Just keep looking forward and ignore him! Having a conversation with a total stranger while peeing just isn't right! On the other hand, having a conversation with a bro, while peeing, is called bonding!
Well, to be honest, I've never stalked any bike I was riding. I had my panheads kickstand fold up when I was trying to start it but as light as it was, I caught it. But that's all.
Never a bike but had a Datsun 280Z with hydraulic clutch and master cylinder gave out. Had to stall at every light on way home at bar time. Sobers you up quick when have to use starter from 2nd gear to get you rolling and going...until next light!
Stalling is a rookie move but come to think about it, I stalled a V-Rod halfway through an intersection on a test ride. I did my job, I got the bike rolling but the lack of torque just couldn't finish the job.
Haven't stalled the bike in any threatening or dangerous way. So far. I've let go of the clutch once or twice while in gear, standing still, but just started the engine again, no close calls or drama.
I was in an empty lot practicing figure 8's and tight turns, and I stalled while turned full lock to the right, and leaned over a bit. It took every fiber in my body to hold the bike and eventually right it. I don't know how long it took me to bring it back up, a couple minutes of straining maybe. My hands hurt for 4-5 days afterward. I'd only been riding a month or so, and bit off a little more than I could chew.
