If you're worried about your shift lever scuffing your boot, maybe you should be riding a Dookotty.
Or an Italian racing bicycle with spandex shorts & a sports drink bottle.
Boot guard. SHEESH!

Maybe you could lend the OP your butt cloth to wipe his boots off with. It may help cover up the scuffs on his boots.

I can't imagine paying what some of these guys do for their "motor clothes" but hey, whatever rocks your world, right? This little gizmo isn't something I have any use for, but if the OP is trying to protect a $500 pair of boots (or more), so be it.

Personally, I like my boots to have character. These are my Redwing Irish setters. I've had them about 2 years, probably last another couple of years. I've never been anywhere I rode the bike that these boots weren't good enough for, and if I ever do, I'll leave.

On a serious note: if you are truly concerned about the black mark on your left boot, buy a heel shifter.

Redwing Irish setters. Comfortable, water resistant, durable.

My AlpineStars already have the "shift patch"; they're Goretex lined and I could walk all day in them. They also provide better protection than any work boot, which I rode in for a lot of years.

I agree to a point. But if your wearing a $ 500 pair of boots on a bie, you need smacked. Or you have the extra funds to buy a spare pair.

Maybe he just wants his boots to look nice. I am vain like that to a point. Not the boots I wear but other things. Some people like to have nice shoes..
