the SUV driver (suburban size) did an awesome job at avoiding an accident.
We were waitingto make a left turn behind another small SUV. Unfortunately that smaller turnedleft across 2 lanes in front of a huge SUVin the far lane.
First thought...The dude must have seen something that I don't.
Second thought...Oh Crap they are going to hit! Will they bounce into me?
The huge SUV misses the smaller SUV by swerving a foot short of impact.
Third thought...Oh crap that huge SUV is coming directly for me (I froze staring[:@])
The huge SUV swerved back into his lane and pulled to the side to stop. The other smaller SUV dweeb just kept going on the freeway ramp he had turned too.
Kudos to the dude in the SUV!! That was some good driving.
Amazing how we sit frozen staring as impending doom approaches. That has happened to me at least twice. One time I got hit, the other time the vehicle (18 wheeler) stopped in time. Monday morning quarterbacking both events made me realize how stupid I was. There were escape routes available both times and I did not take them. Hopefully, if it happens again I will wake up and take evasive action.
Glad you came through it unscathed and please do not take this post as a criticism of your reaction. I only judge my own.
