I installed the monotubes in my '12 Fatboy when I went with the chrome front end kit. Really improved the brake dive and I feel the ride is improved considerably. An added plus is not having to change the oil.

Saw this topic discussed recently in another thread.....might have been in the Touring section. Anyways, Progressive would definitely be an improvement, but you might want to research the Legend Axeo cartridges as well. I can’t comment on the Progressives, but there were a couple of riders who said they found them to be quite stiff and switched over to the Legends which they liked better. I’m not offering an opinion, just suggesting more research based on what I have read here on the forum.

I put 'em in the 41mm forks I built for my '02 FXD. Firmer & more controlled than stock with minimal brake dive, but a bit harsh on "square edged" bumps. I attribute that to running a cartridge for a heavier bike with more rake. I'm only running one of the two available preload spacers & am considering giving it a go with no spacers.

Happy with 'em overall. Good springs & Gold Valve emulators would be a better, if more costly solution, but as this was the first set of forks I've been inside, I was a bit leery of the process of fine-tuning the Gold Valves.

I too have the Progressive springs up front and the Progressive shocks out back. I like the front. Not so much in the rear.

I thought about the gold valves for my dyna but did not want to go back in to fine tune. I like my progressive set up that are externally adjusted. I might go with gold valves on my fxr. The dyna set up is spring in right tube cartridge in the left. They came out with it in 2013 I think. They make different kits for different bikes. And some are talking spring replacement not cartrige or mono tubes I think.

Rather cartrige on the right, spring on the left.

The not having to change fork oil is cool but was not a big selling point considering it’s due every 50,000

best thing about them, besides better handling, better ride, no brake dive, ect, is you don't have to mess with them again. you never have any more maintenance in there again
