I think the new HD Ventura mesh jacket is very cool and very cool looking. It's is silver (I like) and black, and there is an alll black one which looks more traditional. Very cool large logo on back. Great summer jacket for under $90 bucks. Hard to find. Limited run.

I could not imaging wearing a jacket on a bike in the summer. Vest is more than fine

I was going to try and find this one as an alternative. It appears you like it. It gets very warm and humid here, do you think it will still cut the mustard?

I've seen too much road rash lately and don't want to fall victim to it. Just kinda freaked out as I have had a more experienced rider friend recently end up in the hospital due to a solo accident. His jacket saved his skin. My wife is a new rider and I will not permit her to ride without a jacket and figure if it was good advise for her I might as well try and follow it as well.

I live in So California. Temps over a hundred during the day.

I wear the HD Switchback jacket. Does great. I wear a Silver Eaglecooling vest under it.

The cooling effect from the evaporating water keeps me cool.

The water lasts about two hours and does an excellent job of keeping me cool.

I have had road rash before some year ago. I just I like the protection at highway speeds. We took a ride to Annapolis. The weather was hot my freinds wear short sleeves and they all were hot and sun burned. I had a mesh jacket for the ride and took it off when stop. I was cool and needed some more sun. On the ride home there was a Ladder on the highway. You just do not know when the next crash could happen. I wear the HD harley mesh jacket

My wife and I have Joe Rocket mesh jackets - plain black and lightweight armor. They don't look too Power Ranger-ish. I have a very fair complexion and I find that the breeze through the mesh is actually cooler for me than riding in a t-shirt.

I have a Teknic "Supervent" mesh jacket. It is comfortable, even in the high heat that we get here in southern NM. Nice armour as well. It has ben washed many times (just throw it in armour and all) and it has held up well.

I have Fox Creek perforated leather jacket I wear in the summer with a tee shirt underneath. Works great except when it gets really hot and you're stopped. No jacket is going to solve this problem.
