Do you wear a summer weight jacket and if so which one?
Alright, I have been riding for a few years and am pretty comfortable on two wheels but hate riding during the hot summer months totally exposed if I end up going down. So do you wear a summer weight jacket and if so which one? I found a really cool (pun intended) Bates canvas jacket but they are out of stock. I'm looking for something with an old school look (no mesh)since I ride a Softail Deluxe.

I wear a perforated leather jacket from Fast Company out of Hickory, NC. It's called The Airflow. Moves ir really nice. They also make all the draggin jeans stuff.

Draggin Jeans sells some kevlar shirts. Info was posted a few weeks ago. I went with the HD Switchback 3:1 jacket. Mesh inside with removeable shell and rain liner. Kind of pricey but ideal for Montana.

I use the Cordura vented jacket by River Road. It has padding in the shoulders, elbows and kidney area...I had to add a velcro tab on the sleeves to keep the elbow pads up tight on me. At $99 they are not overly pricey...and the wind flows through it pretty well. Might take a look at them.

I have the HD mesh and the HD Heritage jacket. I have ridden all summer with the HD mesh jacket. I have not ridden with the Heritage jacket in the heat.
Waterford MI, have not heard that in years. Grew up in Oxford then moved to Texas in 1988
