I'm a small guy and had a Sporty prior to my current Dyna. Yes, it was easy to throw around in town but after even short rides, I was feeling extremely cramped on it. If you just want something for short rides, it would do fine but for me a Dyna fits the bill better for an all around, do everything kind of bike.

Something to customize------ If it were me, I would go looking for a Crossbones.

You look to big for a Sporty. I had a Dyna and I hated it. swingarm is mounted to the tail of the transmission and floating around on rubber mounts that wore out about every 4000mi with anyone of size on them. worst design ever. I will always own a Softail, would also love to get my hands on a FXR one day.

Cool FXR ...Street Bob

For jetting around town , bar hopping , poker runs, etc....

for sum old sckool **** ...do the FXR ...
for the old sckool look with some modern power ....do the street bob...
all depends how much you want to wrench on it also ...(anybody can ride a stock bike ) ...!!!

either way ...it must have lots of pop ...(dont mean loud) but deep, real bumpy....stupid power ...these are fun ...will get your blood pumping...
it will only go has fast as you let it !!! (one must have sum discipline with these too)
but the sound ...(which is why we all ride these dinosaur's of a motorcycle) is the key ...must have the sound !!!

me personally ...i keep the softail springer hanging around...just for that reason !!!
