Glad to hear another positive review on the Rickrak mount. I think just for the added safety will purchase the case. I realize the the protective lens is supposed to work but in the extreme cases of the construction up there might be more than it can handle.

I have one mounted to my fork with a hogtag mount and the other is on my helmet. I use cases on both. Never had a problem

Good plan, think I'll try that myself.
