Hello everybody
have a question
I have a 99 Ultra Classic and the previous owner put 11 in air shocks on it which is way too low for me. I've been offered a set of takeoffs from a 2017 Ultra Classic. My question is will the 2017 Ultra Classic rear shocks fit on my 99.

It would probably be best to use an online parts finder microfiche to obtain the part number of shocks being offered and confirm that is the part number of shocks being offered by looking at actual shocks.
Then go to harley online catalog with part number and look for fitment years.
A second check would be to go to J & P cycle online and see what years interchange for shocks.
Also, check the underside of rear fender. Wires run under fender and get scrubbed by tire when rear is really low....You end up with damaged wires & tail light problems.
if you go with the stock type air shocks, you won't have a problem. but you don't want to use the new 'hand adjustable premium' type shocks. there is only one adjustment (on the left shock), and your swingarm doesn't have the juice to support them.
I have some off of a 2005 ultra classic that had 12,000 miles when they were removed. I would send them to you for the cost of shipping. Not sure how much that would cost.
