Default Back rest

I have found that I really like a back rest on my bike. When I was younger it didn't matter. Now the first thing I do is put one on. It sure feels good to have something to lean on. What do you think.

It certainly makes for the especially longer rides more enjoyable. Have been using them for quite a few years now.

None of us are getting any younger and getting older isn't for sissys. I had a backrest on my 04 EGC and used it once or twice. Didn't really see a need for it then. Nowadays, I need to use one if I want to ride for more than an hour or so. It's just a fact of life I guess.
I have the adjustable riders backrest on my RKC and I love it.

My last bike had one, so my new bike got one within a month of me getting it.
As for which back rest, that is the question.
Adjustable or not.
After this summers first long ride I will be able to answer that for myself.

I've had one on my 2002 Fat Boy since around 2004. One of the best things I've ever done for a bike accessory.

I had one on my ROAD GLIDE<and loved it, for longer trips, MY Fat bob, I don't feel the need for one. Its a different kind of riding, and I feel fine without the backrest. OH and i'm 77 going on 21.

If I'm going to ride more than 200 miles or so the backrest goes on the bike . Mine is adjustable and it means a huge difference for me on those long trips .

Default Back rest.

Thanks for the response. I was wondering if I was becoming an old sissy or wasn't hard core enough.😁 But at 61 and what I have put myself thru with work and all. It makes my neck and shoulders ache to not run a backrest.

Now you guys just made me order one from J&P cycles for my touring Mustang seat. Reading some of these threads are getting expensive.
