Put down the screwdriver, and make an appointment with your local Harley Davidson dealer or independent Harley mechanic (Indie). At the very least, buy a Harley Davidson Service Manual.
It might be the air/fuel adjustment. Just start the bike and adjust it out until the bike stumbles then back in until you get a good idle. or you can adjust it in until it stumbles and out. either way you want a good steady idle. then take it for a ride you may need to tweak it a little.
