This just flies counter to the American dream. Here was a guy who worked hard, found a niche, perfected a product, only to lose it, whether to inexperience or lack of knowledge in dealing in the big arena.
I had no idea that Gordon clothing was the rebirth of Gerbing, thanks for the article.
I am really sorry to hear about his passing. I never met the man but his gear really helped me enjoy some rides that I would not have been able to do otherwise.
What impresses me about this man his is story. As I know it he was a business man in the Northwest. He had several employees that rode their bikes to work even in the winter. He saw them arrive at his shop COLD and taking time to warm up before work. This gave him the idea to experiment with heated gear simply for the purpose of helping his employees. The rest his history. Then if I understand correctly he lost or had to sell the company due to health issues. He survived and started "Gordon's Heated Gear" with family members.
Sorry if this is not 100% correct. Just what and how I remember his story. Please correct me if wrong as I respect the man and his story.
R.I.P.

I had no idea he lost it. I do know they had a small manufacturing plant in Union, WA. Went out there one time for a problem with my vest, they fixed it right there. Great people. Thanks for a great product. RIP Gordon.
