Anyone out there with input please. I looked at a 2002 fatboy today, looks good few blemishes starts right up sounds good. Im looking to see if anyones got experience with this year and model and what issues if any this bike will see. It just got traded into the local Harley shop Ive got the option to buy it as is, or have them go through it front to back and pay the difference. Any input appreciated.
Fine bike no doubt but more details would be helpful such as miles and pics. You are however at a bit of a quandary here. I don't reckon you can take it to a trusted Indy that would check it over considerably cheaper than a dealership would charge. Also you do not mention what they would charge. Flip a coin.
Welcome to the forum. Alot of good info here. Use the search engine and get some good info. I had a 2001 dyna with the 88 TC and it was a helluva motor. As dawg mentioned, check the cam tensioners, and everything else on that engine was good. Without additional info, like miles, etc, that is all i can say.
Its got 14xxx miles, if I take it as is itll be $4885, or the price of whatever they put into it on top of that.
It's a good looking low mileage bike. I'd take it for a ride, and if no issues, go for it. That's a good price. But, I'd ditch the bags. Maybe you can get a few bucks for them.
