slip on mufflers
I just installed a set of V&H 450 destroyers on my 14 flhtcu and the chrome end caps have gone gold color on the inside and the back edge after only 50 km, I have read conflicting reports as to whether its a bit too rich or its too lean. Does anyone here know the right answer please.
at the time of install i had a set of FL-VIED10 set at 25% from my last set of pipes other than that its a stock setup.

thanks for the reply i am getting mixed responses online where they say yellow or gold is too rich and blue is too lean. i guess the part i left out was you could smell gas in the exhaust when riding when i could not before

You are correct.
Black for rich. He stated he could smell gas, that alone is enough to confirm rich mixture.
