If I owned a helmet I'd store it in my Tour Pac until I was ready to ride again.
I just recently purchased a helmet for a ride that is going to Fenton Missouri(the mud bug festival) which is a helmet state! Lid of tour pack just touches the top of helmet so Ill put a little bubble wrap over it till we hit state line where I have to wear it!
When I crossed Nebraska (helmet state) into Colorado, I knew I wouldn't need it anymore, so I displayed it on the mile-marker post at the state line, in case someone needed it going into Nebraska.
