Heck, people display all kinds of things. I once collected gas masks and had 124 of them from all over the world hung up in my workshop. Free your mind.

Speaking of trophies I once had about 40 bike show and "bike of the night" trophies that I'd won. When I got tired of them I sold them at the swap meet for $3.oo each/2 for $5. One guy said, "who would buy somebodies bike night trophies?" I answered, 'for three dollars, are you kidding? Some people will spend 40 grand to get one of these!' His buddy said, "he's right. I'll take two."

I keep mine in the bag that came with them in conditioned place in house. I also spray some cologne in them before inserting in the bag.

I've considered these; however, with the weight of the helmet always sitting on the same point for prolonged periods of time, I'd be concerned of compressing the liner permanently. You haven't found this to be the case?

You'd only do that as long as it takes to discover that: a soggy, sweat-soaked helmet + 0 air circulation + a hot, humid day = mold/mildew

/\ That's my routine. I don't really consider that I'm "displaying" my helmets - just keeping them conveniently located near the bikes. My "shelf" is actually an old, discarded louver half-door for better air circulation. Hard to see in the photo, but I think you get the idea.

you can buy whatever you want and display your helmets however you want but if it were me, i wouldn't wear any of those hats. they have too much "power rangers" going on for my taste....but that's just me.

I give my older ones to be auctioned or sold at benefits and the like. My present one I keep on my head as much as I can.

EDIT: I hope this didn't sound like a smart *** response. It surely wasn't meant to be.

It's kind of called custom. I'm just not into the boring and mundane, "see how sinister I'm trying to be with my all black everything" look. I'm all about the shine.
