Default FOB Battery

That time of year to replace your FOB battery so you don't have any surprises. Guess how I know. Glad I practiced using the code bypass.

Don't keep a spare battery on the bike? Duct tape one to the bottom of your seat.

psshawww. i don't worry about changing the battery every year, taping one on the bike somewhere, etc. i just use it until it dies, use the code, then replace it. in 5 years, i've only replaced one fob battery.

I’m the same way, I’ll use the battery till it’s toast. (I do have a spare in my zippered glasses case though).

You know I bought my bike used and have never had to access it with the code..... I probably should give that a go. I'd be willing to bet my fobs have original 2013 batteries.

I replace the batteries ever year.

I hide my spare on the bike but flip the battery upside down.
Always fresh if needed.

I keep a 6 pack in my saddlebag. Never know when someone else may need one. Kind of like when I carried a spare gas canister. Never needed it myself but helped others a time or 2.

When the battery reaches that point, get away from the bike, pop out the fob battery, and rotate in, and pop it back in, it will give you a couple more starts to get to a drug store for fresh batteries.
