I don't care. Not the first rod I shoved in a hole.
Making way to big of deal out of this. I will say he is the rude one to guy.. I got no problem saying beyond your ability to someone. But I think we can all screw a nut on.
Apparently, OP had a bit of a problem with that...and we've all been real nice to the guy, but I agree, if you foul that one up. probably would be a good idea to know what Dirty Harry knew..."a man's gotta know his limitations"...no shame in that.
You have been nice? Telling him he is to dumb to thread a nut on?
Threads are just buggered for whaever reason. Maybe cause he beat it out. First rear axle I had to beat out, before I used anti- seize. Maybe rusted or such. I dunno
But I have no problem with the guy buy another one, or even trying some light filing. You can argue that requires some skill to not go to far. But the first thread isn't holdn't the nut on.
But probably just best to get another axle.
Anti seize and tq wrnch to factory spec. Use a dril bit I never had one need it.
You all go get a beer.......
It is way too simple to fix.
The Op posted it because it was over his head...
Now he feels insulted........and will lash out at everyone...
Ya just can't help everyone..You can tell them, but you cant tell them much.
Carry on
Beers
Go to the cemetery and put some flags up.
