Bahahaha I actully thought about that. What a horrible trick to play on someone. No this box was stored while I was waiting on the crank shaft. It definately came out of there somewhere. I even checked my torque wrenches and pullers to see if it belonged to something like that. Nothing. As maticulous as I have been and spent extra money on the best parts I'm sure it's going to cause a catastrophic failure. Can't believe this is happening.
Any chance it was already in the box before you started filling it with parts? Leftover from another project maybe

Years ago I put a Olds 455 engine together. Had it in the car a ready to fire it up. Went to get some tool's put up and one of my co-workers had put a half of a main bearing on my bench.
He owned up to it pretty quick. I laughed but it wasn't easy
