Default Measuring windshield height

I need to order a new windshield for my FL Softail. I would guess that I measure from the top of the headlight cutout to the top of the windshield. If this isn’t right, can someone please tell me the correct way to measure. Thanks in advance.

Most manufactures have the dimensions/measurements on their website; check there. But yes, I think you are correct. I ordered a LRS and I measured from headlight cutout to top. LRS shields are 1/2" shorter than stated height; this info is on their website.

I believe I used 1 inch above the headlight when ordering mine. I cut cardboard to see where I wanted height to be, just taped to bars until I got it where I wanted.

You are supposed to measure from the center fairing trim screw. Scroll down to the video on measuring for the windshield.
