Doc, I pay a lot of money (for house) not to live next to someone like you. Yes, this is a freecountry and we all have the option to excerise our freedoms, within reason. 'Cause someone may think you are an a$$hole, does not give them the right to shoot you (their freedom).
So, living with neighbors, one has to use some constraint. I guess something like mowing the lawn at 6 AM would not be constraint, IMHO.
I think some of the posts on this subject read...that we all can suffer from your 'loud' pipes...right or wrong. Officials respond to 'voters', and their complaints, right or wrong.
Perhaps this lady was inappropriate in her approach to you, however, her contacting the police or the city, would bring more impact less favorable to you. Don't believe it? Keep reving those pipes.
There is plenty of land, in Montana, that is cheap and away from others to exercise one's freedom...away from others. In the interim, you will have to deal with the 'public'.
Slapped a 4 year old,,,She sounds like a peice off work....best bet is to put up flyers all over town advertizing "Free Beer" "Biker Blast" "Trophy for loadest pipes"put her address on it....pull up a chair and a cold one kick back and watch.......

First off, Iâm a very nice guy so my wife of 30 years tells me. All my neighbors like me, they come to my house for coffee, lunch, dinner and Bar-B-Qâs. I help the woman who have no husbands, etc..
In short this lady is rude, crude and looks for trouble, nobody on my street likes her, sheâs just the type of person who looks for an argument. She once slapped a 4 year old little boy on our street for drawing on the sidewalk in front of her house using one of those wash away markers little kids use. She walks here dog and does not clean up after it craps on all our lawns. She throws tennis ***** at cars that speed down our street (that one I agree with). hehe
Iâm the type of person when somebody does not like me it bugs me to no end. As a matter a fact, I feel like crying as I type because some of you think Iâm mean.
I am not a tough guy but I have been in the Military Police for 22 years ( British Army ) and not afraid to speak to people. As a politician said prior to WW11 "better to Jaw Jaw than War War"
What is required here is some conflict resolution.
I would have gone around to her house and apologised for disturbing the peaceand explained that I did'nt appreciate the way she had spoken to me. I would then explain that I would try to be more considerate when I am leaving my property on my bike and try to keep the revs down.
So this could then go two ways
1. She leaves you alone and tells the neighbours what a nice considerate guy you are are..result. everyone is happy
2. She tells the neighbourhood what a wuss you are! Hey ho, I could live with that because all my neighbours know me and my history.
Nope, never worry about being a tuff guy in anyway... I just love the classic lines and the great comraderie the bike brings with my fellow riders. It's been a wonderful machine and I'll some day get another one.
Sounds like offerin her a ride would get her goat plenty. Usin your bike and loud pipes to be an axxheel gives the rest of us a blackeye. If you really need to be an azzheel to this lady, whether she deserves it or not, go dig up her flower bed and leave the rest of us out of it
If she slapped a little kid then she must be a real witch. But,unfortunately, when faced with dealing with a person like that, it is usually better to try to make some sort of peace. If she is not receptive then at least you tried. Keep egging her on andyou might end up regretting it. If she is that nasty, thenshe will find the time to make hell for you. One way or another, you have to live next to her.

Yesterday one of my neighbors got mad because of my loud pipes, I drove in my driveway and she walks up to me and said " All you bikers think your so tuff" and think you do not have to abide the laws of the land, she walks off and I stand there stund but did not say a word. I admit I rev my bike when I pass here house because I know it bothers her. Shes a real be-atch
So be honest, do you think your a tuff guy because you drive a bike/Harley? I must admit when I stradel my bike I do get an instant feeling of power! However, I treat people the same as I want to be treated or the same as they treat me. Give me crap I'll give it right back.
So my answer to my question is Yes I feel tuff but do not act like a fool or treat people with disrespect.
Sounds like she wants a ride .... maybe on the bike too.
I meet a tough biker wo(men) yesterday went to a local HD birthday bash, woman was wearing a legion riders vest I belonged to that legion for over 15 years, I made mention of the legion and town and about belonging to legion her and her wo(man) friend look back at me like I'm the devil, and I was only trying to have a friendly conversation. I think she's home tonight with an apron on and baking cookies for the kiddies! But hey she was tough on Sunday riding that hog!
