I always throw the right leg over. Although, I often sneak up from the rear on the little 125s we use to teach the Basic Rider Course; they are so small you can almost walk right on to them. Be safe.
Since mine is not a bagger and it leans to the left, the most comfortable way is to throw the right leg over. But I do a double back flip with a twist dismount
30 some odd years ago, I approached my bike in front of the local bar and was about to throw my left leg over the saddle and mount my ride when suddenly, a large hand grasped my shoulder and pulled me back. As I spun around to see who the ell was messin with me, I saw it was a well known and liked local biker who imediately said, "Don't ever get on from this side, man......it's bad luck!"
A week later he was hit head on and killed by a drunk driver, who crossed the centerline and smucked his bike while he was riding home from work.
I always throw my right leg over first.
