Default Kompact Motorcycle Camper

Saw this on Craigs List and it seems to be a great deal. I don't tour or camp anymore but maybe some is in the market. I would be happy to go look at it. From the pictures it seems to be in great shape. New these are about $2,500

That`s a bargain and it does look like it needs very little

yep ... I'd say that was well worth $450.00

We camped next to a couple that had one of those. I had never seen one before and thought it was just a regular trailer at first. When he set it up it was as if over the next few days the entire campground had to walk or drive by to check it out. So much for privacy while they were there lol.

Watching them them get in and out of it was hilarious especially since the woman was in there rolling around trying to change outfits constantly. I’d rather have a tent.

I camped next to one two years ago too and the couple in it had no problems at all. Theirs was identical to this one except it had a small awning that rolled out the back. They had all of their stuff set up outside under a pop up canopy just outside the camper and they slept inside. They were there 4 or 5 days and seemed to be having a good time so yeah. $450 seems like a steal to me.

If that was in my area I would buy it, not for the bike but for behind the wife's Subi.
She loves to camp and that is nice, small & light (hide it in the corner of the garage when not in use).

I agree; if I'm going to pull a trailer I'd rather just pack a good sized tent and a queen air mattress.
This trailer certainly gets you off the ground but I'm not sure it provides anything else that a tent doesn't.

That being said; for $450 bucks if I was so inclined to camp while motorcycling I'd probably give this a go.
I'm betting it wouldn't be hard to get most if not all your money back if it didn't work out.

For the Wife and I; we'll just stick to renting cabins and hotel rooms.
Our days of taking baths at the bathhouse and $hitting in the woods are long gone.

I bought a new one in 1993 and used to go to rallies and camp outs with it. I was single back then and it worked out great. It was nice to meet new people at the campgrounds during the rallies. It didn't take too long to set it up and was comfortable for me.
The only thing I didn't like was that when I was traveling, and you stopped along the way to get something out of the trailer, the only way to get to anything was to lift the lid and then open the door, then lower the lid again, because it will not hold open. You would have that 2ft x 2.5 ft opening to reach in and get your stuff. I would always put anything I might need to get to at the rear of the trailer so it was easy to get to right away. I also had the ice chest on the front, and also the awning which was nice.
$450.00 sounds like a good deal for a used one.
You can try it and if it doesn't work out for you, then you can always sell it and try one of those Timeouts. They are nice also.

Paid $800 for mine a number of years ago. Thousands of care free miles and they do hold a lot of gear.

That little trailer setup is awesome! If I camped, it could be an option. Especially at one sixth the price of a new trailer.
