Sorry to hear of your misfortune...glad you are not to worse for wear and the bike can be fixed. Think of it as a learning experience. Never trust the cars around you to act logically and follow the rules of the road.
You know guys, I may as well toss this in as a learning moment as well......I always, always am playing the "What if..." game as I ride.
What if this guy did ________ <-- And think what would be my response. Do I have time to slow down? Swerve? Accelerate? Did I leave myself an escape route? Etc...
What if....
What if...

I also ride figuring like I am invisible.

YUP, I taught my boys to do the same thing. I always stay back to make sure the person in front of me is going to complete the maneuver they started.
Glad you are ok, that is most important by far.
I am glad you are fine. Since the other party is picking up the repair tab, they should rent you a loaner bike until yours is returned to you in working order.
That is a whole lot of taxes to get "free" stuff. Wait, nothing is free? Tell us what your gasoline prices are and then, maybe, Americans won't bitch about $2.50 a gallon.
Wait a goddamn minute...he made reference to the fresh Prince of bel air and not a single comment on that?! Not only are the taxes out of control there your tv programming is a little dated to say the least...anyway glad your ok to ride another day and hopefully the bike gets fixed soon
Just so not to worry anyone, I still got plenty of bottles of whisky left .
To be honest, I'm not 100% sure I couldn't have avoided the crash. As the car kept moving closer I stopped looking at the gap where I wanted to go, and started looking at the car about to hit me. It was a matter of seconds, but it might have made a difference.
And it's true, we pay a huge amount of taxes here and gas prices are about 1.69/l (or about $6.40 per gallon), but then again there's very little poverty, very little illiteracy, our roads are in tip top shape, everybody's got health care, there's no lead in our drinking water, prostitution is unionized, and marijuana has been legal for ages .

I shipped some whiskey to a dude in Holland a few years ago (Aberlour A’Bunadh, US only batches) and he sent some pics of his whiskey room. Awesome collection. What is it with you Dutch and whiskey? I might need to move...
