Glad to hear that you are OK and the bike can be repaired although it does suck that you are missing out on some riding while it is in for repairs.
What I would like to hear about is that whiskey collection, it sounds like you must have had some very fine bottles
It was a fairly large collection at a little over 150 bottles, There were a couple of rare bottlings among them including a couple of Port Ellens (5th, 9th, Pe1), a Macallan 25 Anniversary Sherry Oak, Lagavulin 21 (1985) & 25, Glendronach 33, Scapa 25, Glengoyne 2000ad, and a couple of Talisker 20s (1981).

Never thought I would ever see something like that. Glad to hear everything is peachy. I have a few co-workers from Belgium who is not as enthusiastic about the taxes there and we have a lot of expats from EMEA who don't want to go back. Of course, if you can afford a Harley all is good. It's only money.
BM, glad to hear you will ride another day! Not sure if it would've helped, but I usually have my thumb on the horn button anytime there's even a possibility a car might not see me. But that doesn't guarantee anything. I hope you get 'er back in time to enjoy this riding reason. I know I'd be losing my mind!
Glad to hear you are okay. I recently stuffed my CVO into a car at 60 mph. Just got the approval from insurance today to fix it (almost 20K). Not sure how long It will take to fix, but I might need knee surgery (took out the bars on the way over the car) so it really does not matter. I am lucky to be alive, so I am good.
