Default FALL IS HERE! RIDE SAFE.

Just a reminder that in case you havent noticed fall is here. beware of cagers lookin at pumpkin patches, corn mazes and all that other kinda stuff that pops up at the roadside farmers markets.
Also want to remind you all that wet leaves on pavement are slick as eel crap, so be cautious of the conditions out there wherever you ride and enjoy the foilage as it wont be around much longer.
I hope everyone is doin good out there and take care. get ready to bundle up for winter!

Thanks Ironhead.

I've had great weather all week and have taken advantage of it. Rode about 125 miles the other night with just a sweatshirt. Not bad for the middle of October in Illinois.

North Carolina is a great state to ride in. I have a brother in Winston Salem and love to travel the W Va turnpike to rt 52 in Fancy Gap and then down the mountain to Mt Airy (Mayberry) before coming into Winston. Go right by the Blue Ridge Parkway. Great Ride.

Have a Great Fall,

Terry

Here in Colorado, five inches of snow fell last week. It's snowing above 9000ft. tonight (I'm at 8800ft ), but riding year round here in the Rockies is excellent. Icy roads are the only condition I'll pause for. Can wear gear/protection without melting, no bugs, no nasty t-storms to dodge, etc.

Thanks, I do try to keep alert to what is going on around me. Where I live, I also have to look out for deer. So far, I have been lucky.

Got out last night and rode to dinner with my girlfriend (western PA). Was about 70 when we got going...but...brrrr...the ride home was cold, 'bout 50 or so. But nothing some chaps, a good jacket, and gloves couldn't cure

Look out for those wet leaves and remember to let your tires warm up too...
