Default Cleaning and maintaining black engine finish

What are you all doing to clean and maintain the finish on the flat black motors? Looking for suggestions. Thanks.

Many recommend Pig Snot. I tried some the other day on mine. Works good, but it smells like silicone, and since I'm considering a repaint in the fall, that concerns me. Silicone and repaint don't play well together.

S100 engine brightener, I'm sure its pretty much the same as the pig snot and harley brand. But it works great to make the engine look new again. I rarely use it, maybe twice a year if that to keep it looking good

Pig snot for me. Worked amazingly well on my Dyna’s black engine. Looked awesome & didn’t attract dust at all.

Once my engine is clean, I've had good results spraying it down with Pig Spit.

To clean it good after riding in rain or it’s just looking dirty and grundgy, I use Gunk Foamy engine cleaner. Then to brighten the black up, I use Pig Spit. I used to use S100 brightener but I like the Pig Spit better.
