I sure can. Still working out all details so it could be a bit before either happens.

If you buy that bike you're going to need two things to get it on the road.
1) Plenty of money
2) Solid mechanical skills
But it sure will be awesome once you get it back in shape.

I disagree...flatheads have never taken off with the collector crowd...it would be foolish to put a lot of money in it for restoration....you would never get half of it back

I wouldn't be surprised if you cleaned the carb and put some fresh gas in it.and cranked it right up. Flatheads were probably the most bullet proof motor HD ever made.

That thing would be the ultimate bar hopper...you could go to a bike night...just like it is...and it would get more attention than anything there.

Looks like a cool project bike, either repair and clean it up (stock as possible) or full on restoration.
Probably worth more if you just clean it up and go through it mechanistically (dollar for dollar in today's environment).
Would love to have a project like that sitting on my lift to keep me busy during the winter months....
Good luck

Good luck. You'll probably get a kick out of this episode. Jim Bronson helps an old guy revive his barn stored bike.

There was a guy near me that had a pole barn full of that stuff. Everything from Hendersons, Cyclone, Indians (in-line and V-twin), Harleys, and even a Flying Merkel. Sadly, he passed away. Before it was all auctioned off (for insane prices), they had Dale Walkster come in, and he got every one of those bikes to run. He commented that most of them were overfilled with oil, which is what preserved them so well.
When the old man was alive, we used to go see him on our own antique bikes and spend all afternoon in there.
You bring bikes like that back mainly because you love it...not for the money. It's worth it to the guys that have them.

That may be but just because a bike starts and runs doesn't mean you should ride it on the street. When things sit for a while **** starts going bad. Wiring, tires, fluids, all kinds of stuff still needs to be replaced. And it's usually pretty costly or at least very time consuming.
