I have been to three anniversary celebrations the 100th and the 110 and this was the worst I have attended. Because of the great times at the previous celebrations I convinced 21 Hog members to come from Cincinnati with me this year and one friend from the UK. Why why why would you move all of the activities from the park on the lake to Veterans Park ????? Veterans was a mud hole and a mess. A couple of the ladies ruined their boots and one actually fell down trying to negotiate the muddy field. I kept pumping up the event an all the energy at the park and you only had vendors there??? Why would you give up concrete for grass??? This event was a huge dud and I was feeling sorry for all I talked into coming especially the folks from the UK. The last time the police competition and band and Harley and food were all at the lake. I see no reason to ever come again with the present setup. We had the orange wrist bands and they were never checked!!! Don't know why we all wasted our money.
I went and had a great time. I agree Vetrans Park was a mess, all the rain turned the field into mud, but the setup at the Museum was great and the Dealers around Milwaukee had great stuff going as well. I met people from all over the world, did some great rides, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Thank you for joining so you could **** and moan for a larger audience.
i would guess and this is a total guess on my part....veterans park was probably a lot cheeper to use than the summer fest grounds. we've had 2 months worth of rain here in wisconsin in the last couple of weeks so mud on grass with lots of foot traffic is going to happen. you may not be aware of it but the moco has fallen on tough financial times recently and putting on an anniversary celebration is not cheep.
I was there Friday, and walked thru all that mud/straw/wet grass. I was sure that I was going to have a hard time cleaning the mud out from between the lugs on my soles, but Mother Nature did that for me on the way home . I had a good time, and it was a good ride (even with the downpour). Every day above the grass is a good day!!
It was muddy, but the museum concerts and 4 dealers that we stopped at Wednesday- Friday all had nice setups and vendors. Brady Street Friday night was a blast! My first visit to Milwaukee and I'll be back for the 120th.
