Hey guys! I have a quick story to tell. I have a 2014 Street Glide that I had the factory air shocks on. They were ok shocks the first year I had the bike, but recently they started loosing air. I replaced air lines and fittings but it did not help, so I figured the seals in the shocks were going bad, and I thought it would be a good time to upgrade. I was interested in finding the adjustable shocks off of a special. So I asked on one of the Street Glide pages on Facebook that I am a member of. There were a bunch of guys who had them and were not asking a bunch of money so I thought Score! But then there was one member who said he had pulled his off right after he bought his bike and said if you pay shipping they are yours! All he asked is that I pay it forward and help a brother out if I had the chance. Well, I decided to take it one step further than that and make a Facebook page dedicated to just that. Honestly, as much as we all love to customize our bikes and make them our own, we all have **** laying around that could help someone else. So, if you are on Facebook feel free to join my page whether you have parts that could help someone out, or if you are looking for something. Let your friends know too! The more people who join, the more we can help each other out! Thanks for anyone who read through all of this, and here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/352207445314938/

Going to bump this up to the top, maybe some of the newer members on here could join up. About time for those winter mods. So keep your brothers in mind when you are stripping off those parts guys!
I don't do Facebook either, but the couple of times I've offered a part to someone on this forum, one of the moderators thinks I'm trying to profit from it and deletes my post without explanation.
I did manage to get a forum member in Ohio an air cleaner they needed once. It was free.

That's too bad...but thanks for helping a brother out!
Great idea. For years I've had a rare-ish (for NA) British Classic Car and fellas are always trading or giving Austin Mini parts.
I've taken and given both. A great feeling when you can help someone out....A short short story kinda related to that:
Recently, a neighbour from about a mile away dropped by and we got talkin' old bikes, cars, trucks and whatnot and said he was lookin' for a certain manual on a 1961 Series I Land Rover. I said "wait a minute", went into the house and brought back a rare shop manual from the 1960's and dropped it into his hands. He looked like I just gave him a $1000 bill. When he asked what I wanted for it, I said "pay it forward". I sold my ol' Landy a few years ago and gave the buyer, a young fella all the manuals I had acquired but hung onto this one for some reason. I guess the other day I found out why. Weird.
Yes, I know it's not bike parts, but the idea is the same. I have 2 sets of bars for my Road King. I just recently signed up to a bike parts exchange etc here locally. I'll wait til some youngster is looking for a set of bars and give him one set.
