To my eyes on your bike a seat with more back support would make a world of difference for comfort dealing with wind. Not a backrest, but more of a scoop like a gunfighter style. It will really anchor you more and take the strain off your core at higher speeds.

Also, a proper thick leather jacket will significantly reduce fatigue due to buffeting and flapping clothes. Lastly, make sure your helmet is snug enough. If it’s loose you’ll get lift and more buffeting...

A shield will also change how the bike sounds to you.

I have ridden with and without a shield...without is my infinite preference.

If you had to put anything on that bike a small clear windshield would get my vote, personally I think anything along the lines of a windshield or fairing will kill the looks of that great looking bike you have. Until a few years ago when I hit my early 50 the wind never bothered me, I rode Wideglides for years with no windshield because to me it kills the look of the WG. I have more 400-700 mile days than I can count over the years on my Wideglides with never a thought to the wind, once I hit my 50s the wind started bothering more by making me tired faster from fighting the wind. At that time I went with a Roadglide Ultra and enjoy the long days without the wind beating me up, but I still do many 200-300 mile days on the Wideglide with no windshield

Dumb question...would you consider or are you using a full face helmet on those higher speed rides? Makes a huge difference for me. I also have a HD detatchable smoke windshield for those highway rides. It keeps the wind off my body but isn't tall enough to keep it off my head. It looks good on my blacked out bike. It may go on more now that the weather will be turning cold where I am, North of Albany, NY.

Agreed, Ive tried windshields, flyscreen etc, however the biggest improvement was a backrest. Didnt have to fight the wind just lean back.

Nice bike btw.... You built the bike for a look, not a purpose.. Any shield will kill the bike..

Id' suggest to go with at least a detachable Sportshield...I did that on my Dyna for long trips and figured it didn't detract from the look of the bike and it is easily removed...once I put it on It was so much more comfortable I never took it off. I now have had only touring bikes with fairings since getting rid of my Dyna andIi don't know if i'd have any bike without at the very least a detachable windshield. Yes the chopper style bikes always look better without them but after a couple hundred miles at crankin' speeds that wind can really accelerate fatigue....IMO it makes a world of difference...BTW nice bike to the OP!! (and to all others who posted pics lol!!)

I have a detachable windshield but it's on 99% of the time. Helps with cold, bugs in summer, and just makes riding more pleasant. I'll take it off for a not too long country ride a couple times a year.

Any effective fairing would look the shytes! A detachable windshield is your best bet but the aesthetics suck but less so than a fairing.

Solution: U need (2) rides!
