I don't have a set cutoff temp, summer here you expect low to mid 50's at night with daytime temps jumping up 30-40 deg. Fall & winter night temps vary depending on humidity and cloud cover, 40ish at night with day temps bumping 50- 60 or so. Gets clear out it'll dip into the 30's with regular frost on the truck windows, city sprinklers are on year round at night so ice can be an issue on the rare hard cold nights. Truck windshield has a hard frost I'll skip the bike ride, otherwise it isn't raining I'm on it. May be a bit chilly on the ride in but with the parking nightmare at the plant the bike ride is still worth it.

I am with the rethinking that rule idea and soon, lol. Perhaps this rule is a major cause of all those garage queens that I see in the used bike section.

We get quite a bit of dew in the fall/winter months and I leave for work between 3-3:20, the temps keeps dropping after that time so about 2 deg's above freezing is my stopping point.
If it is in the afternoon I will venture out in colder temperatures if it's dry, I have a heated jacket/liner.
For the most part we ride all year around trying to avoid the rain.
They sand (pebble) the roads vs salt, but we avoid the sand.
But we can go all year with out needing it, depends on the year.
As a kids we used to ride our dirt bikes in the snow, the deeper the better...

38 is the coldest temp I've ridden in, and can safely say it probably won't happen again. Ideal temp is 70 or above.

I used to be a real die-hard and ride even in the upper 30's back/forth to work at least. The last couple years I've really backed off. So far this year I haven't ridden to work in the AM even when the temps are in the 40's. I only have a few mile trip to work and I've lost interest in getting my bike warmed up a bit and leather, hat, gloves, etc to ride a few miles. I think it's pretty safe to say as I get older my cut off temp and cold weather riding interests are changing quickly. I plan to cleanup my bike tomorrow (low 50s for a high) and put it up for the winter. The hand full of days it "might" be warm enough to go for a ride just don't seem to interest me anymore. Like I said, I used to keep it out usually into Dec, but the last couple years this has changed.

I’ve ridden in temps as low as 32 when I had to, but it wasn’t fun. Generally below 45 I’ll take the car. Once the state starts salting the roads I’m done for the season.

I'll ride in any temps. but don't care for the heat. Anything over 90 sucks. I've been out as low as 27 before but once down in the 40's no one wants to get out. As long as the roads do not have salt on them i'll ride.

It was 34 degrees today. My son came home from college last night and he needs a ride so I let him have my truck keys, grabbed a hoodie to go under my leather jacket and motored on down to work. Wish I had heated grips. Brrrr...

My magic temp is 32 degrees. Below that, there's always a chance of hitting a ice patch, or not being able to get good tire grip, so I figure why push it below that? Once temps are dip down to the 40's I usually put on my heated jacket liner along with my leathers, long johns, thermal socks and of course a hat. I may even where something to cover my face. I hate to give in to mother nature, but that bitch always wins.

98.6 - If I'm breathing, I can usually talk myself into a ride except when its below 40.
