A few years ago, I rebuilt Reaper's forks, as the fork seals were leaking. Replaced all the seals, bushings, etc... at the same time I installed a set of Progressive springs, and went with SE heavy fork oil. It really was a night and day difference. The dive factor on hard braking alone was very noticeable! Bang for the buck wise, it's a no-brainer. VAST improvement!
It's hard to fathom how the Motor Co. could not have evaluated the simple fix we all did, and the positive results. My buddy has a 2015 RoadGlide and it dives and feels less planted then my bike with those changes. Wake up Harley!
Probably saves a few cents on each bike, which adds up quickly. There are MANY things that the aftermarket provide that seems like they should be stock
I have them and they stopped the dive on braking. I used Aimsoil shock therapy 10wt oil and all is fine there.
If I remember the instructions right they said to stick with the stock oil weight.. I'm 210lbs..
I have the progressive heavy duty springs in my Heritage and the difference is almost night and day. I feel that the handling is better and considerably less nose dive when braking. I wish that I would have installed these a long time ago.
I should have also mentioned that I ride 2 up with bags ful 99% of the time. And you know how them women are (the bags are full to the brim with her stuff and tour pack full of tools with mine. So effectively I’m a 375 pounder going down the road
I think you guys are brain washed by progressive I called them when I did the front springs on my 2010 ultra at 250 lbs they told me the only thing they had for me was the heavy duty spring and that was questionable so I looke further and found patriot spring had a series that was a double progressive and they work great
Whatever works for you is fine with me. I know what MY bike likes and the ones I have work great...
One could also say we're all brainwashed for owning a bike that needs soo many upgrades...

I think the OP was looking for a low cost improvement, not the best improvement. There are quite a few options that will ride much better than just replacing springs, oil and correcting sag, as listed in this REPORT.
