Default 93 fxr

Looking at more info on a 1993 FXR (looks to be fxrs low rider convertible)
I came across it on cycletrader. Bike has low miles and looks nice, the thing that has me concerned is that it is single disc and from what I am finding out it should be dual front discs.

Also I believe it supposed to come with soft bags and detachable windshield, both which I don't want anyway. But something to hammer on price wise.

Here's a link to the bike. I emailed them but haven't heard back yet so I don't know if it's still up for sale.

https://www.cycletrader.com/listing/...eipts-adDetail

If the front end was changed out for some reason, pretty sure that's a deal breaker. Any info would be great. Price looks in line, but I don't want a franken bike.

My other concern is are the gauges correct on both the tank and bars..

The bike appears to have a 34mm Showa early front end with the "diamond" brake caliper. It should have a 39mm dual disk front end with Hayes single piston calipers.

Thanks for the confirmation. I wonder why someone would change the front end to go 2 disks to one? Crash?

If you can get the Vin# you can run it and find out what it is.

That's kind of some crazy handlebars they put on it.

You may be able to get them to drop about one thousand dollars on it.

Forks were likely changed in favor of chrome.

In the plus side t's an FXR and not a Dyna. Nothing wrong with a Dyna but an FXR is more desirable.

Interesting that video shows single disc in front (and cast wheels). Still no email back so no VIN or even if it's still available.

Agreed those bars are terribly wide.

Should be dual front discs mounted on 39 mm. forks and the speedometer drive should be on the left, not right side. Aftermarket side panels (the triangular ones) are aftermarket as is the seat. Original had buckhorns but didn't look anything like that. It looks like one-eyed Willie positioned those mirrors. Low riders had tach and speedo mounted on the handlebar clamp and fuel gauge on the tank console. I don't think that year convertible came with bags or a windshield.

Quick detach bags and windshield is what makes it a convertible.
