Default Am I missing something

Finally got around to taking my current pipe off. It looks like there’s no gaskets here to replace, am I mistaken? EVO motor

Hard to tell for sure from the pictures but it kind of looks like there is a fibrous type of gasket in place, kind of like a doughnut

The Evo gasket is not what you'd expect to find. That round thing in your exhaust port that looks like a steel wool "O" ring is the exhaust gasket. When you install new ones the ring slips over the pipe.

Looks like a crush gasket to me as well. Take a flat head and run it around the edge. See if you can knock loose what is already there.

Crush gasket for sure, use a pick or flat head screw driver to lift an edge, then grab it with some needle nose pliers. Watch out though, the fibers are very sharp and puncture fingers like there’s no tomorrow

Can place the gasket in the freezer over night too. Shrinks it up slightly , makes for an easier install. It is a tight fit.
