If he can handle splitting lanes in LA commuter traffic as shown in one of his other posts I'm thinking pulling the wheel and getting it to a shop isn't too big a deal for him.

I offer a LOT of free advice here as everyone does.
Send out free parts to those in need.
But it is hard to take some of the retardism here .
Like i stated-
if this person can not solve a fking flat tire whilst it sits in the garage , god help him in a real emergency.
You guys are just prolonging his pain.

The next time I offer correct and good advice like this time, be as quick to jump right in and say atta boy, being you are so quick to
stand up for a nerd that can't fix a fking flat tire without a forum of cadre on hand.

Holt crap; are all HD riders going to start wearing dresses and nail polish and be in Drag?
Without going to the races?

You cannot plug a tube type tire. I wouldn't try riding it at all, tube tires have a nasty habit of turning or spinning on the wheel when the pressure gets low, and when they do, they yank the valve stem out of the tube. Had that happen more than once on the highway in the old days. THe tire's good, you just need to find and whatever caused the leak and put in a new tube.

Not all REAL bikers can fix their bikes (I can and do fix mine), otherwise there would be no repair shops. Flat tires can be an issue for a beginner biker as they may not have any mechanical ability thus only buddy ride with folks who may have the mechanical aptitude. You judge with no knowlege of their knowlege level or experience. Maybe they just like to ride, bike rental may not be a bad idea for this feller but it is his scoot and he has only asked about the tire not about whether or not to sell it. You come off like some kind of arrogant *** when you post like this however I have seen other Helpful posts by you elsewhere. I read through the entire thread and have yet to see anything non-trollish in your tone. BTW there are a lot of women riders out there riding Harleys and men who ride Harleys.

I'm sorry to hear about your trouble, OP. Any good shop should be able to fix your flat, but inner tubes in road bike tires are becoming obsolete. I bought some used aftermarket mags for my BMW back in '85 just so I could go tubeless. . Good luck.

Agreed! Just another worthless comment helping nothing or anybody.

But you guys have helped him?
How?
In his next emergency what will he do>?
The truth is hard to come by and even harder to want to hear no matter how truthful it is.
Most people want their ears tickled.
You guys run to his rescue because?
If a man has no clue how to fix a tire, the best thing he can do is get the tow truck to get it to a shop.
After all this hoopla about being a beginner er (which is BS as a MC tire is the same as a bicycle tire ) Where was he for that lesson?
Next, who taught most of us to change a tire?
I will tell you- The University of Hard Knocks.
Ya just do it.
Nothin is EZ the first time.
