Danner Ft Lewis. Waterproof slippers. On their 12th year, tough boot.

I have the square toe pictured in my above post but I also have a pair of the round toe, almost same boot except for the toe design. I was fortunate. The company that I just retired from would pay for a pair of steel toe boots every year. The last couple yrs of my employment, I purchased a pair each year. I was a desk jockey for the last 10 yrs due to a bad back but had to make at least 6 field trips every year so I had to have steel toe footwear. I've got a few more pair of Red Wings stashed back.
These boots are very comfortable and easy on and off.

Yes. They are Irish setter boots made by redwing. Years ago these boots were on the redwing website and I had the local redwing store order them. Now I go in every few years and have them order another pair for me.

I guess I should have checked the website.

Lots of nice boots shown, but no black side-zips.

I don't wear laces on a bike.

Some pull-on steel-toe ropers might get my interest, but I want tough-*** leather.

I would suggest that you use composite toes as opposed to steel toes. Steel toes get very cold in the winter and make your feet cold also...Composite are not as cold and lighter than steel and from all I've heard work as well as the steel toes. I wear a pair of black Red Wing boots that are very comfortable to walk in and have had them for about 5 years. Had to order them through a Red Wing store but well worth the wait and price.

I would suggest checking out the Italian Stylmartin boots for good quality, rider protection, and side zips...

https://www.stylmartin.it/en/boots-t...touring-boots/

https://www.stylmartin.it/en/boots-c...s-rocketblack/

I have the ACE version. They are a brown boot. Fantastic quality and comfort and maleous protection to boot...

Thanks, Pablo. Stylmartin makes some very attractive boots. I like the Oxford and the Cruise.

Side-zip is ****. Get a pair of real boots and be done with it. Chippewa (sp?) makes a damn fine boot. I have three different pair sitting here in my room. One for summer work and riding, one for cooler/cold work and riding and one for plain damn cold riding. If I had the scratch though, I'd go with a couple different pair from here...

Look at Cruiserworks (https://www.cruiserworks.com/Home.aspx)

I'v had mine for over 20 yrs. resoled 3 times by them and still waterproof and slip resistant.
