Does anyone know if my 2000 deuce should have a pursuit light on the speedo? Its never lit just curious if other bikes have them as well. Im assuming the pursuit light is used for police models??????

Mitch,

I think you must be since they don't produce a Deuce in a police model. I'm a Law Enforcement Officer and I have not seen or heard of a pursuit light on a speedo.

Maybe that speedo face is shared with either the Road King or Dyna Defender police bikes?

I read on another forum that all 99 and up softails have that speedo but who knows. Its not a huge deal its never been lit it just bugs the heck out of me knowing if its normal or not.

Okay - I'll bite - WHat is a pursuit light?
This is a indicator light on the speedo (similar to a oil light or check engine light) that is used on police models to indicate they have there flashers on.

my EG police has the same light (P) on in the dash when my passing lights are on,but then again they are turned on by sliding the switch to pursuit
